01 / Intention
A passage through time
McFly takes its name from Back to the Future and its journey between eras. Above, the wood, its grain and its frames carry a familiar memory. Below, reflective metal and sculptural cutouts open a view towards the future. Both worlds remain visible. Their meeting gives the cabinet its tension, as though it had travelled through time and kept something from each encounter.
02 / Materials & details
Natural oak and mirror-polished steel
The palette pairs the warmth of matt natural oak with the clarity of mirror-polished stainless steel. Solid oak frames give the doors their depth, while veneer carries the grain across the cabinet body. Beneath this volume, a stepped plinth and reflective elements create an almost mechanical interruption. Discreet openings keep the composition visually clear.
